This unusual tree grows on the roof the church of St. Michael. Peter and Paul in the center of Nerežišća. It is a species of black pine(pinus nigricanis host). It is specifically grows in higher altitudes, so this tiny black tree grows at it’s minimal possible altitude. It is thought to be 180-200 years old, and is 170 cm high. In 1969 was declared a monument of nature.
